SLB OneSubsea, a joint venture backed by SLB, Aker Solutions, and Subsea7, has won a contract from Petrobras for the Roncador project, offshore of Brazil. As part of the project scope, SLB OneSubsea will provide the full subsea equipment scope, including two production manifolds, one electro-hydraulic distribution unit and additional related services. Much of the technology and equipment to be deployed will be produced and serviced locally at SLB OneSubsea’s facilities. Roncador field in the Campos Basin is one of Brazil’s five largest producing assets and has been in production since 1999. The new subsea solution is expected to improve recovery from the mature oilfield giant, SLB OneSubsea said.
