Loss Prevention 19 Apr, 2023 Neptune - Bunker Info tab updates Dmitry Kisil Senior Loss Prevention Officer VPS bunker quality data for Nov 2022 – Apr 2023 is available online via Neptune . Ultra-Low Sulphur Fuel Oil quality review. Download PDF Volumes of ULSFO bunkered worldwide are by far lower than volumes of other types of marine bunker fuels. ULSFO is rarely bunkered in ports outside of Europe. Algeciras has been the third biggest ULSFO bunkering port over the past six months, and 100% of samples taken in Algeciras met the ISO 8217 quality standard, making it the safest port for ULSFO quality. Ultra-Low Sulphur Fuel Oil volumes bunkered in Dunkirk, Zeebrugge and Rostock are modest, yet the quality standard has been met in all instances when ships received ULSFO there. In other European ports, ULSFO samples failed on Sulphur and Pour Point, while other technical quality parameters appeared to be consistently on spec. However, it should be pointed out that collectively only 1.4 per cent of ULSFO samples exceeded the 0.11% Sulphur content marker.
