An unusually high proportion of bunker stemmed at major global ports over the past six months has failed to meet the specification on technical parameters and on statutory Sulphur content. For example, VLSFO delivered in one European port failed on Sulphur content in 18.9% of the tested cases. Similarly, the pour point of ULSFO supplied in another European port was off-spec in up to 19.6% of the samples.
