Image Credit: Awake.AI Finnish maritime technology firm Awake.AI and vessel traffic management company Tidalis have partnered to develop automated maritime emissions reporting systems for ports and shipping companies. The collaboration combines Awake.AI’s emissions monitoring software with Tidalis’ vessel traffic and port management systems to automate scope 1-3 emissions reporting using operational port-call and vessel data, the two firms said in an email statement on Wednesday . The companies said the system is designed to support compliance with regulations including FuelEU Maritime , the EU ETS and IMO decarbonisation targets, while reducing manual reporting processes. Initial deployments are due to begin at European ports this year before expanding to Asia-Pacific , the Middle East and the Americas in 2026 and 2027 . “The challenge is turning that data into reliable and auditable emissions reporting that supports both compliance and operational decision-making,” Karno Tenovuo , CEO of Awake.AI, said.
