Pacific International Lines (PIL) has launched a new weekly Indonesia Thailand Service (ITS) to strengthen intra-Southeast Asia connectivity. The new service will begin from Port Klang on 5 September 2026. It will provide direct shipping links between Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. PIL said the service will call at six key ports across the four countries. Three vessels will operate the route, offering weekly sailings. The rotation will be: Port Klang – Singapore – Laem Chabang – Bangkok – Laem Chabang – Singapore – Port Klang – Semarang – Surabaya – Port Klang. According to PIL, the new service will improve transit times and expand its regional network while providing stronger links to the company’s global services. Tonnie Lim, Chief Trade Officer at PIL, said the new service strengthens the carrier’s presence in Asia and enhances regional and international connectivity for customers. PIL said the launch comes as intra-Asia trade volumes continue to grow and customer demand for regional shipping services increases.
