Image Credit: Seascale Energy Seascale Energy , the marine fuels joint venture set up by commodities firm Cargill and tanker company Hafnia , has entered a knowledge partnership with Lloyd's Register Advisory to strengthen its expertise in shipping decarbonisation. Since launching in May 2025 , Seascale has facilitated fuel transactions involving LNG, biofuels and green methanol, Seascale Energy said in a statement on its website on Thursday . In February, Seascale Energy arranged a green methanol stem for a Cargill-chartered bulk carrier . As part of the partnership, LR Advisory recently held workshops for Seascale teams in Geneva and Singapore covering low-carbon fuels, FuelEU Maritime , EU ETS and IMO decarbonisation measures. The sessions also examined biofuels, emissions accounting, compliance requirements and the commercial implications of alternative fuels. The companies are also exploring customer webinars and market-focused sessions on fuel procurement and emissions regulations.
