Oslo-based offshore accommodation vessel specialist Floatel International has revealed in its latest financials that it won deals for two of its vessels. The first deal was an 80-day contract with an undisclosed client for the provision of the Floatel Triumph in Australia. According to information provided by the company in its first-quarter financial results, the contract will start in the second quarter of 2026. The accommodation vessel is currently working on Shell’s Shearwater project in the UK and has a six-month deal in place with Inpex, which also has options to extend, for work on the Ichthys project in Australia during 2025. The second deal is for Floatel Endurance. The Norwegian company received a letter of intent from an undisclosed North Sea client to provide services in 2025 and 2026. The vessel is currently on hire with Aker BP on the Skarv project in Norway after which it has obligations with Cenovus in Canada during 2025 and with Aker BP once more on the Yggdrasil project, also known as Hugin, during 2026 and 2027. Floatel revealed that two of its five vessels have been active during the quarter with 28% utilisation. Since the end of the quarter two more vessels – Floatel Endurance and Floatel Superior – started work with Aker BP and Ineos, respectively.
