Singapore-based floater owner and operator Yinson Production has been cleared by class society DNV for the next-generation purpose-built FPSO hull design, known as Meridian. The newly approved Meridian FPSO hull was awarded a main scantling approval from DNV. The hull is designed to perform in challenging offshore environments. It merges low-carbon innovation with high-performance adaptability, engineered to meet the intensifying demands of deepwater and ultra-deepwater operations. This showcases the company’s first-ever purpose-built hull design and highlights its versatility and steadfast commitment to driving continuous growth. Yinson Production stated that it was now positioned to also competitively pursue newbuild projects. The Meridian FPSO hull design will be used to secure projects in South America and West Africa. “This is more than just a basic design approval. We are ready to lead the next chapter of offshore innovation. While our historical baseline has been and continues to be conversion projects, we now look forward to offering purpose-built solutions to our clients when topside and storage capacity demands exceed that of large conversion projects,” said Lars Gunnar Vogt, Yinson Production CTO. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsSingapore
