Singapore-based Nortrans Offshore has secured a contract extension for its maintenance and support unit Temis, keeping the flotel on hire with Equinor at the Bacalhau FPSO project offshore Brazil. The 2015-built, 501-person unit was originally booked in late 2024. The firm contract covered five months from early 2025 and included an option for a further five months. Nortrans said the extension reflects Equinor’s confidence in Temis’ operational performance and safety record during the project. With the Brazil work now extended and a follow-on job already lined up in Romania, the unit is fully booked, taking the vessel to 100% commercial utilisation. Bacalhau is one of Equinor’s flagship developments offshore Brazil, and the flotel has been supporting offshore personnel during the intensive hook-up and commissioning phase of the FPSO.
