DHL Global Forwarding has expanded its Transpacific air freight network with a new three-times-weekly cargo service linking Bangkok and Cincinnati, strengthening connectivity between Southeast Asia and the United States. The new “TransPac Connect” solution offers dedicated widebody freighter capacity of up to 100 tonnes per flight. The service is supported by an extensive U.S. road feeder network, providing broader inland connectivity for shippers. The expansion also extends network coverage to Hanoi and Taipei, allowing customers to connect cargo to major U.S. gateways, including Cincinnati (CVG) and Chicago (ORD). DHL said the service is designed to help customers manage supply chain disruption by providing secure main deck capacity, stable schedules and greater cost predictability. The solution is particularly suited for oversized and high-value cargo that requires reliable transport and end-to-end operational control. Henk Venema, Global Head of Air Freight at DHL Global Forwarding, said Southeast Asia continues to grow as a strategic manufacturing and sourcing region. “With our new Bangkok-Cincinnati connection and broader Transpacific network coverage, we are offering customers not only speed and capacity, but also the reliability and control they need to build more resilient supply chains,” he said. The new route forms part of DHL Global Forwarding’s wider controlled-capacity strategy. The company continues to expand its dedicated air freight network across Asia, Europe and the Middle East through multiple weekly rotations linking hubs including Frankfurt, Liège, Amsterdam and Hong Kong. DHL said the latest investment complements its recent expansion of dedicated air freight capacity between Asia and Europe, further strengthening global trade lanes and improving network reliability across key markets.
