Hapag-Lloyd will establish its own local presence in Namibia with the opening of Hapag-Lloyd Shipping Namibia in Walvis Bay on 1 October 2026. The new office will provide customers with direct local support while connecting operations in Namibia with the carrier’s wider African and global network. As part of the transition, Hapag-Lloyd Namibia will assume operational responsibilities from Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS). Luanda Express, voyages 686707E and 686708W, was the final vessel handled by ISS, with an estimated arrival on 27 September. Hanover Express will become the first vessel handled by Hapag-Lloyd Namibia. Voyages 686709 and 686710 are expected to arrive on 4 October. The new company will initially operate from an interim office at Sam Nujoma Avenue No. 149, Office 2A, in Walvis Bay, while its permanent premises are completed.
