Supramax values dipped in response to the soft pricing of the Ocean Bright. Supramax Ocean Bright (56,000 DWT, 2013, Mitsui) sold by Ming Tai Shipping Corp DD Passed for USD 19.2 mil, VV Value USD 21.0 mil. Handy Sun Grace (33,700 DWT, 2004, Oshima) sold by STX Sun Ace Shipping to Greek buyers for USD 7.25 mil, VV Value USD 8.0 mil. Tankers: VV S&P values saw positive movement across older tonnage this week, with older VLCCs, Suezmaxes and MR2s all appreciating. Older MR2 values being the standout performer. Asset values for older VLCCs remain well supported, with the Lila Kochi sale landing against a backdrop of tight fleet supply and healthy tanker earnings. VLCC Yamatogawa (302,500 DWT, Dec 2006, Kawasaki) sold SS/DD Due by Chiba Shipping to Chinese buyers for USD 61.5 mil, VV Value USD 62.33 mil. Containers: The S&P market remains quiet and demand remains high, values are still nudging up for older Feedermaxes but no notable movements across any other sectors.
