Image Credit: Jiangnan Shipyard China 's Jiangnan Shipyard has delivered the 93,000 m3 very large ammonia carrier (VLAC) IVY COVE  to Singapore -based shipowner Eastern Pacific Shipping (EPS) . The vessel, named and delivered on June 10 , was designed and developed by Jiangnan Shipyard and is described as a new-generation ammonia carrier, the company said in its latest statement on its website. The IVY COVE is the first 93,000 m3 VLAC delivered by a Chinese shipyard and the first vessel of this type to be ordered and delivered worldwide. Following delivery, the vessel will enter service under a charter agreement with commodity trader Trafigura. Jiangnan said the delivery marks a milestone for both the shipyard and China's shipbuilding industry in the development of next-generation gas carriers and vessels designed to transport low-carbon fuels.
