File Image / Pixabay Malaysian bunkering firm TMD Energy Limited has extended its memorandum of agreement with bioenergy company Double Corporate by two years . The agreement, first signed on June 18, 2025 , provides a framework for discussions on a potential collaboration in sustainable biofuels for the EU and Asian markets, the firms said in a press release on Monday . TMD Energy said the extension will give both companies more time to evaluate the proposed partnership, continue negotiations and explore opportunities in Malaysia and internationally. The agreement also includes a two-year exclusivity period. "We are pleased to extend our partnership with Double Corporate," Dato’ Sri Kam Choy Ho , Director and CEO of TMD Energy, said. "This extended timeframe allows us to continue advancing discussions on a potential collaboration that integrates Double Corporate's innovative waste-to-energy technologies and our expanding footprint in the global marine fuel market." Double Corporate develops biofuels from waste feedstocks including used cooking oil, palm oil mill effluent and other industrial waste oils, while TMD Energy supplies marine fuels and operates a fleet of 15 bunkering vessels across 19 Malaysian ports .
