Hapag-Lloyd and Maersk will remove Salvador, Brazil, from the rotation of their joint US East Coast–South America East Coast SEC/Tango service, according to DynaLiners. Under the revised network, Maersk will continue serving Salvador through feeder connections from Pecém, using the Brazilian domestic network operated by its subsidiary Aliança. The updated port rotation will be: New York – Philadelphia – Charleston – Port Everglades – Santos – Buenos Aires – Montevideo – Rio Grande – Itapoá – Santos – Rio de Janeiro – Pecém – New York. The network adjustment shifts Salvador from a direct call to a feeder connection while maintaining cargo access through Maersk’s domestic coastal services in Brazil.
