Brazilian drilling contractor Foresea has been awarded a new contract with Petrobras for one of its drillships. Petrobras, the operator of the Mero Consortium, awarded the contract for the 2012-built ultra-deepwater drillship ODN I for a 1,443-day period offshore Brazil following a competitive tender process. The contract is expected to commence in early 2027, following the completion of the asset’s current contract and certain preparatory activities, and represents an additional backlog of approximately $465m, inclusive of the mobilisation fee. The agreement also includes an early termination option after 1,078 days. Additionally, an unpriced extension option of 382 days is also available. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1_95_0_1_2'); }); TagsBrazil
