Pacific International Lines (PIL) has reorganised its Mozambique and Indian Ocean Islands network by introducing three dedicated services designed to strengthen regional connectivity and improve cargo flows across Southern and East Africa. The revised network separates the carrier’s operations into the Mozambique Service (MZS) , Indian Ocean Service (IOS) and Indian Ocean Feeder (IOF) , allowing each loop to focus on specific regional markets while improving schedule reliability. The Mozambique Service (MZS) will operate on the rotation Singapore – Port Klang – Nacala – Beira – Maputo – Durban – Singapore , connecting Southeast Asia with Mozambique and South Africa. Meanwhile, the Indian Ocean Service (IOS) will link Singapore – Port Klang – Mombasa – Longoni – Tamatave – Port Louis – Reunion – Mombasa – Singapore , providing direct coverage of several island markets in the Indian Ocean. The third loop, the Indian Ocean Feeder (IOF) , will operate between Mombasa, Zanzibar and Moroni , strengthening regional feeder connections and supporting cargo distribution within East Africa. By separating the network into three dedicated services, PIL expects to improve transit times and operational flexibility while providing customers with more targeted connections across the region. The revised structure also allows the carrier to better match vessel capacity with demand across different trade lanes.
