Kuehne+Nagel has expanded its Cool Corridor network by adding four new airfreight routes for temperature-sensitive healthcare shipments, increasing the network to 12 dedicated lanes worldwide. The new routes connect Frankfurt and Atlanta, Chicago and Narita, Brussels and São Paulo, and Chicago and São Paulo, linking major pharmaceutical and healthcare hubs across Europe, North America, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. The Frankfurt–Atlanta corridor will offer dedicated weekly capacity using Kuehne+Nagel’s Boeing 747-8 freighter, Inspire. The Cool Corridor network is designed to transport vaccines, biologics, peptides and other temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals. The company said the dedicated GDP-compliant transport lanes minimise Time Out of Range (ToR) by combining controlled handling processes with strict transfer procedures throughout the shipment journey. Unlike traditional cold chain transport that often relies on active refrigerated containers, the Cool Corridor model uses tightly controlled temperature-managed routes.
