Offshore rig owner Noble Corporation has won a contract from Prime Energy for the Noble Viking drillship offshore Philippines. The contract worth $69.9m covers three wells in the Camago and Malampaya East fields with an additional option for Bagong Pagasa well priced at $10.98m. The firm three-well campaign will take at least 140 days, and the one-option well is estimated at a minimum of 20 days. The 2013-built rig formerly known as Maersk Viking will start the new contract in direct continuation of its current employment in Malaysia, expected in the second quarter of 2025. The value excludes additional fees for MPD services, mobilisation, and demobilisation fees, Noble said. The Malampaya deepwater gas-to-power project is one of the largest and most significant industrial endeavors in Philippine history.
