Kalmar has secured a series of new orders and service agreements in Australia, France, Sweden and Germany. The contracts support terminal automation, electrification and fleet maintenance. Most of the orders were booked in the company’s second-quarter 2026 order intake. Patrick Terminals orders hybrid straddle carriers Patrick Terminals has ordered 10 Kalmar Hybrid Straddle Carriers and 12 Hybrid Kalmar AutoStrad machines. The hybrid straddle carriers will operate at the Melbourne terminal. The automated machines will be deployed at the Sydney AutoStrad terminal. Deliveries are scheduled for the second quarter of 2027. Patrick handles more than 3.5 million TEUs each year across terminals in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle. Arnal France expands electric fleet Arnal France has ordered three electric empty container handlers. The machines will be delivered in Q2 2027. They will operate at the company’s Le Havre terminal. The order also includes the MyKalmar INSIGHT digital platform to support equipment monitoring and maintenance. Holmen extends maintenance agreement In Sweden, Holmen has renewed its Kalmar Complete Care service agreement. Kalmar will continue maintaining a mixed-brand fleet of around 130 machines at Holmen’s Iggesund site. The fleet includes forklifts, terminal tractors, cranes and wheel loaders. The agreement covers preventive maintenance, digital monitoring and continuous operational improvements. Contargo orders first electric reachstacker Contargo Group has ordered its first fully electric Kalmar reachstacker for its Neuss terminal in Germany. Delivery is scheduled for Q4 2026. The order includes a seven-year Kalmar Complete Care service agreement and a seven-year MyKalmar INSIGHT subscription. The new reachstacker will join Contargo’s existing Kalmar fleet. The Neuss terminal already operates charging stations, photovoltaic systems, battery storage and an energy management system to support electric operations. Th
